Saving Live Music, One Jam At A Time
Volume 11 Studios was created out of a simple belief: every city needs spaces where musicians can be loud, creative, experimental, and unapologetically themselves.
When the pandemic hit, Toronto’s music community was hit hard. Rehearsal spaces disappeared, venues went quiet, and many of the places musicians depended on to write, practice, collaborate, and grow suddenly vanished. Watching so much of the city’s musical infrastructure disappear was heartbreaking – but it also became the spark that inspired us to build something new.
Volume 11 Studios began as a dream that quietly followed its founder for years. Like many musicians, music always existed alongside another career rather than instead of it. After spending nearly two decades working in international finance, it became clear to us that it was finally time to build one rooted in music, community, and creativity. Today, Volume 11 Studios exist to help keep Toronto’s live music culture alive and thriving.
Built Inside a Toronto Music Landmark
Known internationally for music production, mastering, voice-over work, ADR, and audio forensics, Cherry Beach Sound has worked with Grammy Award-winning, platinum-selling, and internationally recognized artists from around the world.
These rehearsal rooms themselves have been part of Toronto’s music scene for over 30 years and are widely respected for their exceptional soundproofing, acoustic treatment, and isolation. For us, continuing that legacy is both a privilege and a responsibility.
